DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT DETAILS

A deposit of 100% of the total price is required to confirm booking and must be made within 24 hours of our acknowledgement of your provisional booking by email or fax.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD FACILITY FOR ADVANCE PAYMENTS.

LOCAL PAYMENTS:
(FOR SOUTH AFRICAN RESIDENTS OR THOSE WHO HAVE A FRIEND OR RELATIVE WITH A SOUTH AFRICAN BANK ACCOUNT)

NOTE: Deposits made 7 days or less before date of arrival must be cash deposits or electronic transfers. Cheque deposits are not acceptable within 7 days of arrival.

PAYMENTS FROM OVERSEAS:

1) Exchange4free: This service allows you to pay into a local bank account in local currency, and we then receive the money in Rands in our bank account. Marvelous! Steps to follow:
a) You email us with the country in which you wish to make the payment, your full name and address in that country and your phone number there.
b) We then process it on their website
c) You then receive a “payment request” by email giving you the amount owing in local currency and the bank payment details. There are no fees involved. (Check your spam/junk as the email sometimes get caught there.)
d) You proceed with payment
e) We receive the money into our account 2 or 3 days later.

2) Paypal: Paypal allows you to pay us with your credit card via their website. Steps to follow:
a) Tell us you wish to pay with paypal by email
b) We email you back with a $US amount equivalent to what you owe us. This will include a 6% cost for fees.
c) Go to the Paypal website www.paypal.com and use our email address, info@sanilodge.co.za to access our Paypal account. NOTE THAT PAYMENTS INTO OUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT MUST BE MADE IN US $ ONLY!!
d) We receive your payment into our Paypal account and transfer it into our local bank account in Rands.
3) Bank Transfer: Banks all seem to operate differently, and for some people it is cheap and easy to make a transfer from an overseas bank into our account in South Africa. For others, it is complicated and/or expensive. Please ensure that any charges are paid at your end and that we receive the correct Rand amount as per your booking.

4) Local Cash Deposit: If you are already in South Africa, the easiest option may be to simply go into a First National Bank branch anywhere in the country and make a cash deposit into our account as above.

CANCELLATION POLICY

ALL BOOKINGS ARE SUBJECT TO THE CANCELLATION POLICY CONDITIONS LISTED BELOW AND ARE ACCEPTED BY DEPOSITER UPON PAYMENT OF DEPOSIT.
All cancellations must be done in writing. The below cancellation policy is applicable to all bookings.
Cancellation fees;
0 – 14 days prior to arrival ; 100% of the total cost of the establishment reserved
15 – 30 days prior to arrival; 75% of the total cost of the establishment reserved
31 – 45 days prior to arrival; 50% of the total cost of the establishment reserved
Guests are liable for full account of period booked regardless of late arrival or early checkout.
NB;100% of deposit is retained for last minute cancellations due to adverse weather conditions.
A 10% handling fee is charged on refunded deposit for cancellations more than 45 days prior to arrival date. Bank fees for cash deposits/payments/bank transfers are strictly non-refundable.

PRICES QUOTED ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTIFICATION.

ADMISSION

We wish your stay with us to be a truly pleasant , restful and memorable one. Our rules are in place to ensure your utmost comfort .
1 The right is reserved to order any tenant off the premises who renders himself guilty of violating any of the general rules regarding accommodation and utilization of facilities or of indecent behavior or any other form of misconduct, without a refund on prepaid accommodation
2 This is a high risk fire area owing to possibility of strong winds and dry grass in winter. Fires at designated braai areas are to be attended at all times. Fires made in fireplaces in main lodge, group facility, Aloe and Honeyguide cottages are to be attended at all times and not left burning on departure from room. No hot items such as ash or inflammables to be thrown away in waste separation bins as this can easily cause a fire. Instructions to switch off wall heaters in rooms on departure are to be adhered to prevent fire.
3 Fire extinguishers, fire blankets, safety protocol instructions in the event of a fire, are all provided for guest safety.
4 No person may do or permit any act that could prove to be a nuisance, obstruction or hindrance to any other person
5 No motorbikes to be started and left running, ridden on site or revved at any time during the day or night
6 No loud music to be played on premises by way of car radios or otherwise
7 No noise tolerated before 8am or after 9pm.
8 No pets allowed on premises (there are wild duiker breeding on our property and we border the World Heritage Site with wild eland, rhebok ,reedbuck, jackal being frequent visitors)
9 On arrival, holders of reservations must produce proof of identification( valid passport or SA ID book)
10 The total amount of all bookings is payable in advance
11 A key deposit of R50 is to be paid on arrival for room. This amount will however be refunded in cash after vacating the room/cottage if the rules of refunding are not breached.
12 A breakage deposit of R500 will be charged for groups staying in the Group Facility at the time of booking. This will be refunded if there are no breakages ,damage to premises or missing items as outlined in rules of refunding below.
13 A breakage deposit of R300 will be charged to guests staying in Honeyguide , Aloe or Guineafowl cottages at the time of booking. This will be refunded if there are no breakages, damage to property or missing items .
14 A breakage deposit of R100 will be charged to guests staying in the rondavels and standard rooms at the time of booking. This will be refunded if there are no breakages, damage to property or missing items .
15 Smoking is strictly prohibited in all rooms, kitchens, dining areas, lounges, bathrooms and on verandahs. Offenders shall be fined R500.

RULES REGARDING REFUNDING OF KEY and BREAKAGE DEPOSIT
The key and / or breakage deposit will be forfeited if;

1. Any contents of the cottage/ rondavel/ group facility/ rooms are removed, broken or damaged
2. There is any structural damage to buildings or premises
3. The cottage, rondavel, group facility , rooms are vacated after 10am on day of departure
4. Any occupant is guilty of any offence re the general rules in respect of accommodation and utilization of the facilities or of any other form of misconduct

GENERAL INFORMATION

1) Persons who wish to depart before 07.00 hours should lock the cottage/ rondavel/ group facility /room and put the key under the door of the office. A staff member shall inspect the room and see to it , that a refund where applicable be forwarded by bank transfer.
2) Persons leaving after 7am should see to it that the cottage/ rondavel/ group facility/ room is ready to be inspected by a staff member on request between 07.00 and 10.00. The key deposit and breakage deposit if all is in order can then be collected at the office.
3) If the damages exceed the amount of the deposit paid, the lessor shall have the right of claiming the full amount of all damages caused from the lessee.
4) Accommodation for one day extends from 15.00 hrs on any calendar day of the booked period which shall expire at 10.00 hrs on the following day.
5) Utilisation of facilities at the premises is subject to the rules and conditions as laid out
6) The occupant is responsible for the contents of the cottage/ rondavel/ group facility/ room, and should check the inventory immediately when moving in. Any shortage or breakage should be reported immediately after arrival.
