Community Tourism around Molumong

Between March 2006 and March 2017, our pony trekking tours have brought 1 747 clients to visit and provided an income to Molumong service providers of R1 669 083.

Our pony trekking tours have led not only to support for a local Basotho entrepreneur, the horse operators, the Ntlhoki family, but also to the development of new businesses in the remote villages of Libibing, Malubelube and Bobatsi where families provide accommodation and meals to pony trekking and hiking tourists. This income has a significant effect on those directly involved, but through the multiplier effect on the whole district.
